Registered Nurse (Part-time)
At Planned Parenthood, our most valuable asset is our people. We are currently recruiting for a part-time registered nurse for our Fulton Street Health Center (Fresno, CA)
PRIMARY DUTIES*
-Performs direct clinical duties, including injections, immunizations and primary care diagnostic treatment modalities, e.g. EK, spirometry, audiometry, and vision screening
-Follows Standard Procedures for expanded services in clinic and satellite sites.
-Oversees quality management of medical procedures performed by non-licensed staff and participates in general quality management functions
-Responsible for assuring non-licensed staff who provide education and services are trained and achieve core competency levels
-Provides input for the medical component of the non-licensed staff performance evaluations
-Provides/Oversees medical center responsibilities and programs; including
+ client case management + abnormal PAP/colpo
+ treatment authorizations + BCEDP
+ referral follow-up + CHDP
+ program referrals + immunizations
+ lab reports + Vaccines For Children (VFC)
+ emergency equipment
-Oversees client triage for medical problems and acute vs. routine appointments
- Works with manager or designee to facilitate clinic flow and triage
- Provides health education for primary care and/or reproductive health issues
QUALIFICATION:
Ability to perform the duties described above. A typical means of acquiring the abilities would be:
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current State RN license
- Current CPR certificate
