Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California helps children ages 6-18 reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships.
Where We Want to Go
We are growing. Of the 500,400 youth ages 6-18 living in the five county area we serve, 20% could easily benefit from mentoring and a special adult friend. Our long term goal is to provide mentors to at least 10% or 4,290 youth to achieve community-changing impact. In the next three years, our goal is to double the number of current children served, with 30% of all youth living in rural areas. Kern County plans to open a satellite office in 2008.
