Maximize the value of your paid subscription
If you are like me, I am not very fond of recurring expenses, UNLESS there's real value to what I am paying or subscribing. Another business I operate is a long term care facility and I use FresnoJobs.org as my main tool for advertising job opportunities to local candidates here in Fresno. From time to time, I get resumes for my job posting of a direct care staff (similar to Certified Nursing Assistant) since it is active all year (with 5 different facilities within our group, a resume database is helpful).
Fresnojobs.org most recently endorsed the services of Simplicant (we are an affiliate). Simplicant is an applicant tracking system (ATS) that is very simple to use. I have had some experience in other ATS, but Simplicant's approach is very simplistic and methodical, which is why we choose to endorse them. If you have not considered an ATS before (perhaps you are a growing business of 5-20 employees), take a look at Simplicant.
The Simplicant ATS has an "Apply to E-mail" feature that an employer could use. When creating a job opportunity using the ATS, just take note of the unique e-mail address generated by the posting. You could then use that e-mail to capture applications on your FresnoJobs.org job posting. This way, not only will you save your inbox from many candidate applications, but will also save it from being harvested for spam.
To summarize, here's the workflow steps:
1. Register and sign-up for subscription service to FresnoJobs.org
2. Sign-up for Simplicant's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) service
3. Post a job opportunity in your ATS. It will automatically generate a unique e-mail for that posting.
4. Post the same job opportunity to FresnoJobs.org. Write "How to Apply: Send your resume (MS Word) and write your cover letter on the body via e-mail: ats-email @ domain.com"
5. That's it.
I hope that this helps you in managing your recruitment workflow. Having an ATS to manage a candidate's hiring process takes some time, but it is ultimately beneficial to your business systems.
